Actions such as dialing, e-mailing, faxing, writing letters, and scheduling appointments will be automatically linked to the contact record. Ad hoc links can also be created for a contact, task, or activity. Contact history is an important feature that assists in keeping track of all historical activities for a contact. For example, you will be able to see notes of your previous phone calls, upcoming meetings, and copies of correspondence to the contact, etc. During phone calls, you can also use the schedule tab, to view your schedule for any day, and to create new activities from the Call dialog box.

Bi-directional Synchronization

Common Features in the List Views

Pocket On-Schedule comes with six list views: Contacts, Activity List, Task List, and Journal. These are some of the common features to all list views.

Progressive Search

Works on the field that is currently sorted. This is the fastest way to find contacts, tasks, or activities. Simply start typing the first few letters of the text that you are looking for. For example, to search for a contact whose last name is "Smith", start typing "smi" and the desired contact record will eventually be highlighted. After the "s" is typed, the program will take you to the first record whose last name begins with "s". After "sm" is typed, the first record with the last name beginning with "sm" is highlighted, and so on.

Filters

Tap on the Filters button on the command bar, or tap on View, Select Filters. The Select Filters dialog box will then be displayed. To create a filter that will list only the contacts located in San Diego, tap on the New button to add a new filter. Type in a name for your filter (e.g. Contacts in San Diego). Select Work City from the Available Fields, the equal sign (=) as the Operator, and San Diego as the Value. Tap on the Add button and the filter expression will be entered into the box. You can add additional filter expressions as well. Tap on the Show All icon to cancel the filter and display all the contacts again.

Calendar Views
