The Mobile Enterprise of Tomorrow

Modern technology as we have come to know it most arguably arrived with the iPhone. It was a revolutionary mark in history as notable as the industrial revolution or the invention of the steam engine, printing press, and agricultural plow. Not only have mobile devices changed our lives as consumers in inexplicable ways, but have exponential potential to unleash a modern mobile equipped workforce. The implications are significant—a labor force untethered from offices and cubicles, armed with all the tools they need for productivity, communication, and efficiency in a few dynamic inches of screen space. Over the past few years, we have definitely seen a noticeable shift in enterprise software embracing the mobile device, most markedly with the adoption of a bring-your-own-device (BYOD) mentality allowing employees to utilize their own devices in house, but it must be said, its limits have barely just begin to touch the surface.
